Newcastle University is good I think, but I didn't study there. It's a popular university though, and is right in the city centre. Newcastle's a good city with a lot going on. It's especially famous for nightlife (drinking) and football, as you know, but there are a lot of other things going on: a few art galleries, good music scene. It's got a nice river too, and it's only about 20km from the coast.
By the way, now you are here please invite more people to join and get involved in the discussions! It's difficult to start off, but more people will join in when this gets going, I'm sure.
